What type of porn/porna is worth watching?

Porn is visual material created with the purpose of arousing the viewer. If you describe it like that, it doesn’t seem as bad as how most people view porn: unrealistic sexual acts that lead to problematic sexual behaviour. A lot of porn is out of our league and unrealistic. Fortunately, there is also a beautiful, friendlier, and more ethical type of porn: porna.

Porn isn’t always unrealistic

Most pornographic material seems unrealistic, but let’s not forget that there are also many people who do recognise much of what they see in porn movies. Their sex life actually looks like what they see on screen. So let’s not pretend that porn doesn’t look like any type of sex that people have in their own bedroom. However, it’s good to realise that not everything paints a realistic picture of what the majority of people experiences between the sheets.

The purpose of porn isn’t painting a picture of what happens in people’s bedrooms anyway. So we can judge it or we can try to enjoy it and view it as added value to our own sexual experience or relationship.

More and more female-friendly porn (porna)

For the time being, porn predominantly focusses on male viewers. However, there is change on the horizon, because more and more porn, or porna, is being produced that focusses on female viewers. The main difference between porn and porna is that there is much more of a build-up, the actors are less ‘plastic fantastic’, and there is greater diversity among the actors.

Porna sex doesn’t even necessarily have to be softer than in traditional porn videos, but it looks more realistic. As if you could end up in those situations yourself as well. In fact, if you are under the impression that female-friendly porn is tender and peaceful, you’ll be disappointed. It is at least as hard, intense, and arousing as any other porn video. Only now the desires seem much more real and authentic, which makes it feel more credible. This is partly because the actors in these films are often allowed to choose their partner, meaning they can choose their own co-actor. They often have a say in the script, so there are things left to the imagination of the actors as well.

Paying for porna

So why doesn’t everyone watch this type of porn if it’s available? The number of videos and platforms offering these videos are steadily growing after all. However, in order to produce these videos in a way that is both pleasant for the actors and the viewers, you often have to pay to watch porna. For many porn viewers, this is not an attractive option since there is so much porn out there that is accessible for free.
